Porter Steam Locomotives - Calalog 1943

This document is from the collection of Bob Rathle.

Because of the size of this document, I have broken it into several smaller secitons. The original catalog is 68 pages in length with over 100 images of construction ofd locomotives and builder photos. The quality is OK but not like scanning from a photograph.

• Traction Effort - These are three pages of traction effect shown by cylinder size/stroke, steam pressure and wheel diameter. I used the formuala to recreate the table. The Porter table was round down to the nearest "5." I also noted some errors in the Porter table, like the very first entry.
